Mike Dezego

Way back In early the 1970's, a baby Mike Dezego was abandon by space aliens and raised by humans that played in one of the premier early Punk/Ska/Polka/Flamenco bands in San Jose CA.
Mike's fetish for good music and shiny metallic objects are still in full effect today.

In 1988, Mike moved to the sleepy hamlet of Modesto, where he excelled in the fine art of ditching high school classes. But it was music, art and freak activities that was his true passion and thus the inspiration of Dezego's crowning creative achievement in Modesto, "The Burning Goat Festival". Think, "Burning Man" on a smaller scale... well, actually it was just Mike and couple friends in his back yard, but it was truly spectacular event that the Modesto cops and Fire Department still talk about today!

In 1996, Dezego escaped the clutches of Modesto, his Juvi' Parole officer as well as psycho ex-girlfriend for the River City known as SACRAMENTO. It was here that he landed a gig at the original KWOD 106.5. For 2 years, Mike did it all. Production, promotions, on air work, washing and waxing the owners beloved 1972 Ford Pinto Wagon.

Sadly Dezego lost his job in a now legendary incident with the Program Directors, stripper/girl-friend, Amber. It was a truly unfortunate misunderstanding that the Sacramento Cops and Fire Department still talk about today!

Mike spent years walking the Earth (like Qwie Chan Cane in "Kung Fu") searching... hoping... wanting.. desiring even... the radio job that would bring his Alien/Punk/Ska, soul some much needed solace and satisfaction. Mike Dezego has now found that dream gig, (Que the drum roll sound effects, please) King of the Night Time World at KWOD 106.5!
